Explaining the interactivity
The touring exhibition is the result of an 18-month education project where the team from Geodesic Arts worked with a group of Year 8 - 9 pupils from Archbishop Holgate's School in York, exploring the notion of identity through both science and the arts.

We delivered after school sessions in school and also visited York Neuroimaging Centre (YNiC), York Art Gallery, the Department of Electronics at York University, the National Science Learning Centre and Impressions Gallery, Bradford.

The sessions explored a range of themes, including:
The emphasis was on practical activities and informed debate and the pupils were given the opportunity to shape the direction of the project, choosing the types of people they would like to see featured in the final exhibition, coming up with the list of questions used in the audio and video interviews with the subjects and creating briefs for the project artists.

In this section of the site you will find an overview of each of the topics we covered throughout the project, with an outline of the sessions we ran with the pupils as well as lesson plans and other resources. These resources can be found in the box at the top right of the topic pages.
